Edit: 2008.06.30. - I've added some choir to the track and changed some other stuff as well, so hopefully the song sounds better then the earlier version.

An epic filmscore like track, used a theme from "For the Last Time". Pls write revs! Thx!

"Nice and powerful"

date: August 24, 2008

Great track madboss, you have improved a lot! I liked the return of "For the last time" in there :)

I'm still waiting for my "For King and Country" remake :(

Keep up the amazing work!

Author's Response:

Hehe... sorry to say but I'm not involved with the "For King and Country" themes at all. I'll have a damn busy semester and I'll have some other jobs and projects besides it so I don't see any possibilites to re-create the song. Anyhow I suggest just look around on my profile maybe you'll find something other that will catch your imagination and needs.

Thanks for writing!

"Good work on the edits."

date: July 10, 2008

I've listened to this song for a good long while, enjoyed every second, and have been able to paint a myriad of landscapes and situations, most of which involving one hero stepping up to face a collosal army of thousands. Of course, the hero suceeds, since it's common sense that any one hero can defeat an endless number of bad guys (god bless Final Fantasy).

The edits are wonderful- the chorus, though somtimes hard to recognize fits in very well with the horns blowing in sychronization of the low hum.... make me think of something holy.

The only real issue I have with this song is, as you've said before, the mastering suite issue. I mean, since I don't even make my own music, but I'm 1st chair clarinet in my school band and at parts I have trouble differentiating the violin from something like an organ..... or maybe my ears are just screwed up, I dunno.

Excellent work. This song was obviously a difficult feat of orchestrating to pull it off as well as you did, and your reward is an awesome song that lots of people like, myself included.

Author's Response:

Well you're not the first one mentioning me this "organ-effect". I think the reason for this is the combination of instuments and that they're playing the same note. The deep brass is layered upon the cellos and the higher strings are layered upon the note of the french horn - it's my favourit combination and I think this is what causes this "organ-effect" sometimes.

Thanks a lot for your review. I'm glad that you liked this track!

"You're back"

date: August 22, 2007

Man, I thought you were dead. Good to see you back.
The first thing I heard from this song is the awful quality. Why did you convert it in such crappy quality??? I doubt that a 3 and a half min song would get too big with a little higher bitrate. But at least it doesn't seem to have too much of the sizzling/whining background noise that lower quality songs usually get. For the Last Time has that kind of whining and its unbearable on cd.
However the quality seems to be the only problem with this song. It really includes a lot of different things and is full of movement and a sense of danger. It would be excellent as a generic battle theme in an rpg. Nyeh, that's all I can think of for now :P Good job, and see ya.
P.S.: Maybe you could drop by and give my newer stuff a listen, if you have time;)

Author's Response:

Hy! Thanks for the comment! The quality is low because of the wrongfully selected mastering suite. In Reason I have the ability to choose some mastering options and I think I've choosen the wrong one. I'm glad that this was the only problem you found.
I try to check out some of your stuff but I can't promise anything. So thanks for the comment!
