niiiiiiice.

Nice piece of music here. It really gives the impression of a dark, lingering evil. If I have a complaint, it's just that it's too short, it kinda vanishes just as I'm getting into it.
But nonetheless, a really nice piece, and I really enjoyed it. Eight stars.

Intero responds:

yeah, if it were longer, it were really better. I'm planning to make a 2. version of it.
Thanks for reviewing!

Wonderful!

I do believe every time I go to the AP, I find a new Classical artist that astonishes me.

Therefore, I see it as my obligation to give you an extensive and detailed review.

Yippee.

0:00 - 0:31:

God DAMN that was a long note! I understand what you were doing here - setting an ambient evil instead of a blunt angry evil - However 15 seconds is FAR too long (for non-filmed tunes, were this in a movie - it would be acceptable). Although, you did amp it up with the uber high solo Violin. Well done!

The Tubular Bell at 0:18 was nice, and I liked the guitar Glissando at 0:32.

0:31 - 0:41:

FtW?!? That Guitar was a really nice touch to the melody, but that Brass introduction at 0:36 was a tad blunt. I like the unpredictability in this piece, at times it sounds cliché - but then moves towards another direction. Diversity is a wonderful taste of refreshment in the AP. Well done!

0:41 - 1:09:

Now that was the cliché aspect I was talking about! That segment with the Solo Flute may have had more of an eerie impact were it to be accompanied by a Glockenspiel or echoing Tympani - or even, a countering melodic Violin or they could share the same melody. I've said in past reviews that cliché-ness is a necessity in eerie/ambient tunes, and I stand by that - You sir, have done a fantastic job with it. Well done!

I was expecting some type of soft cymbal roll into the next segment, way to keep me surprised!

1:09 - 1:27 (end):

The gradual build up was a nice touch, throwing in the counter melodies and other melodies used throughout the tune (ABA form, well done) made the build up more apparent. However, using the cliché rule of thumb - A build up is usually either cut off abruptly by using either some type of crazy dissonant clash cord, or going to complete silence - You've used it in a way where (to me) it seems as though the particular emotion is the sudden realization of whatever he/she was looking for, or finding out some terrible thing. I liked it!

You've done a fantastic job with this sir, it reminds me so much of Nobuo Uematsu's work (especially the FFVII soundtrack), this could almost be the set music for your way to Sephiroth. Bravo!

Anything less than a 5 would be like punching a baby with no brass knuckles on.
