Piece inspired by the macro/micro organizational ideas of John Cage.

A little confusing...

hey Shadow.

This was a rather difficult piece to review, mostly because I wasn't rightly sure what I was listening to. It seemed like long strings of notes which despite holding some form of structure, sounded quite random.

I got some interesting imagery to this, twisting landscapes, warped faces and such, which was definitely a bonus!

But i'd like you to please tell me more about this piece. Who is this John Cage, why is this song the way it is?

Shadow16nh responds:

I remember what this sort of music sounded like to me as a college freshman. It takes time to learn how to listen to music that's not explicitly melodic, I wouldn't say this piece is an ideal example of 20th century music, but it was quite succesful when performed live. There's a world of strange sounds out there, read about John Cage, watch some YouTube videos of him, and you'll probably either be very interested or incredulous.
