"Rev. again"
date: July 23, 2007
Well I was almost finished my rev. to you and than my comp. crashed. Now I have to redo my entire rev. to you. Okay so a quicker summary. The beginning mellow part I'm not sure why you have it in this song. A buildup comes, but wasn't what I anticipated. At 1:30 the disco drums come in. I like it. Something I don't hear often in trance. (My personal experience) At 2:03 I like the boom and the gradual crescendo of the lead synth. I see that you intended to make the digital beeping the lead instrument by lowing the volume of the background stuff. Well a nice idea but leave the beeping as a side instrument or brief fx support. I like the bass going on. From 3:40 to end of the song, your transitions seem abrupt. Maybe slowly do a decrescendo of the drums instead of a quick cut out. Finally the bang at the very end of the song is a great way to finish, but it would have sounded better if you had the bang after the very last note was played.
Overall I like the diversity. Keeps me interested for the 4:15 long song. Needs a bit more order and maybe more energy. I'll give you a 5/5 vote only once and a 9/10 review. Bye for now
