Pretty much a straightforward pop-rock song.
The live-version has only vocals/acoustic guitar,
while the original features several electric guitar tracks. Be warned that I am a really crappy singer!
That said, the vocals are alot better in the live-version than in the original - probably because I tried a little harder when playing that one.

"impressive!"

I'd say that you have some real talent. Both as composer and as a musician. With a real pro soundboard this could be Perfect. Keep up the good work.
4 / 5...

Thanks for that.

I'm sure you understand that
the equipment I have at hand, here
at home is very basic.

"holy shit!!!!"

date: August 3, 2007

that intro was like a kick to the teeth!! the song's not even half over and im ALREADY compelled to write something. the sound quality of the vocals is a bit....iffy, but WOAH! DAMN i love those little guitar licks! KEEP IT UP!! GODLY!!

the only part i didnt like to much was the shredding. not really a big fan of it, but the rest was great.

Cool, I'm glad you found something you liked.
I wouldn't call the licks "Godly", but thanks alot. ;)
Shredding is, well... either you like it or you don't.
There's not that much of it in this song anyways.

Thanks for the review!

"Beautiful"

date: July 20, 2007

A lot of emotions come through the vocals as well as the guitar playing. Everything sounds like it honestly comes from the heart. Really nice song!

Too bad you had to shrink it down to 80kbs.

Yeah, the filesize limit is a real killer...

"Good job, vocals need more volume"

date: July 1, 2007

No clarity in your singing this time! Sounds like you have mothballs in your mouth! Maybe your tongue was a bit big that day... that or I'm blaming it on the microphone. Is it possible to increase the volume of just the vocals?

Good tune. Good job. Good job in trying to hit those high notes, nearing your limits:)

Good job picking, few if any errors. (You can do that while singing?!?)

"Story" and lyrics good.

Good elec guitaring (elec guitaring "very good," but that's pretty normal for you:)

Unrelated: The elec guitar in the beginning of "The Dance" was good too.

Like the chord progressions used (e.g. at 5 min.)

Wow, that's a mark of a good song. Takes 5 min. but feels like two. Few songs can drag you that far without making you bored. Hadn't even noticed it was that long.

Author's Response:

The cvlarity of the vocals is actually due to me having to lower the sampling rate to 80Kbps, because of the filesize. They are perfectly clear at higher resolutions.

Yes, I can play like that while singing. lol
I'll take that as a compliment.

Glad you liked the song.

Thanks.
