"one word and some advice"

This could actually be pretty sweet with a catchy lead and some filtering.

its not DNB of course, this is hardcore dance (not bad) but one word:
compressor.

put a compressor on master and add some melodies.

or scrap it, your choice lol

Well, I am redoing this song because it's sparked so much controversy! I thought I did an OK job when I first made this, but now I hate the way most of it sounds. I'm fixing it. I'll be adding a melody, getting rid of that hit every 5 seconds or whatever, lowing the volume, yada yada yada. It's going to be better. Promise.

"meh"

Making DnB without making everyone complain about it not being 100% DnB is an nearly impossible challenge, but you failed a bit more than most- Cause you turned it 100% techno lol

I can't say I like it at all, there's way too much disortion and clippage, your synth choice is interesting tho- but that's it. It's repetitive and boring.

You can easily turn it into something trippy by adding basic stuff like leads and other synthasizz

I'm sorry you feel this way about this song. Yes, I will admit, it's repetative, and repetitiveness can lead to annoyance/boredom. For that I am sorry.
I will add more to this when I remix it.

"Simple..."

It's a good start, though as for whatever genre other people decided it was, I think it fits for what it is meant to be, so I'll give you that. I'm not used to hearing songs without much of a melody, so I'd really like a higher techno synth lead part in there somewhere.

It's good, but needs... more.

Thanks for your review WritersBlock. This song wasn't really meant to have a melody. It was geared more towards just a body pumping experience. haha
I'll add more to this song. So look out for a remix.

"Not really DnB..."

This isn't really DnB at all, as many have pointed out already, so I won't go into that. The synths were good, but some were too loud and kind of hurt my ears. The "whomp" synth especially got annoying with its high volume at parts. Different parts of the drums stop now and then, which I find very annoying. It's all right, though, you should just think about more volume control.

I kinda wanted this to be a loud song, but not to the point that it hurt your ears. I'm sorry about that. I will turn that down.
After listening to this song over and over, I noticed that the "Whomp" sound is REALLY annoying. haha. I'm taking that out.

"one-line summary"

Huh... not sure its DNB but then I think you already got that message from the last 3... and it seems they all think it's 3 different types of music. Music's opinion... screw classifying.

Rant aside, This was a good song. I liked the beat, and could tap my foot to it. I think it's got some good rythm, and I personally like the kick, I don't like music that is complacent in being the same. If you are willing to do something and tweak your music so it stands out a bit, its worth its weight in gold. Standardization and Classification are the death of art. Great song.
