"Good vibe, diverse, alters a bit too much"

date: August 14, 2007

I really like this beat!

The steady and constant percussion base, though standard serves it's purpose well. I like the overall feel though I often find myself asking how to best use this in Castle Crashers.

It would make for a neat in game level theme perhaps. I love the beginning, the punishing air you have, despite the electronic aspects of the song lets me think of a fight scene.

The way you cut off shortly after that however did not click well with me. It disrupted the flow of the song, and without the percussion the image started becoming too sci-fi to serve CC's needs.

I like what you did with that bass. Again it's quite standard, doesn't move around much, but it helps hold it all together.

There's a great mix of sounds in this song, a large variety of synths, and this constant shifting of energies can be seen as a bad thing, though in this case, I felt it was quite neat.

The song also loops, not flawlessly, but acceptably so.

Keep up the good fight and keep em coming!

Author's Response:

I don't understand too well of what part you meant I cut off the percussion. Could you PM me with a time?

Also, thanks for the review. I really appreciate it. When I wrote this, I really didn't have the mind of CC, but decided it fitted well for the game.

The loop flaw wasn't me, it was the transfer over to NG. The original .mp3 and .wav files loop flawlessly.

Thanks, I'll definitely work on some more stuff.
Always trying to improve,

"pretty good"

Overall this is a great song with good use of filters but I have noticed that most of what you are using are just samples from other artists with limited use of original input. Really this is a great song but it mostly just uses old samples which you've cut up or filtered.

I can't really say anything but that It's really catchy!
Also, the loop fits in flawlessly. I didn't even notice it at first.

Hey thanks! Newgrounds sometimes messes up the loop, even though while in production it's flawless.

Thanks for the awesome review! I appreciate it!

"That's some good loop"

date: June 15, 2007

Feels like an advanced society being shown in large pans of cityscapes. Good job. I'd say I respect your work, but I don't look up to monkeys. Too close to apes. And, with apes you have another future all to real. If these simians can produce music, what's stopping them from making the planet theirs.

Author's Response:

Thanks! That was the goal :)

But man! Everyone thinks that. Monkeys HATE apes. we might be "similar" but we hate them. We do not eat bananas, and we don't sit around acting like humans.

We are building up a secret society, unknown to all humans, to soon conquer the earth. That's all I can say.

"Nice."

Sweet song you got there. The beat was slick. Nice bass as well. Had some good notes here and there. Cool pads as well. Maybe add more reverb too it. For some reason, it felt like it was a bit random. But it still fit too the song. Pretty nice job mate!

Author's Response:

Thanks! I do know what you mean when you say it's a bit random...I'm a random kind of guy, so can't help it too much. But definitely will try and work on improving it as much as I can.

Great song you got in your profile. Very trancing.

Thanks for the awesome review!
