Nice Job!

My school's jazz band played a different version of this song, but it sounds similar(same basic melody and stuff). You guys sound really good, was that you in the trumpet solo or the guitar?

XanRethan responds:

I'm the solo trumpet. This was just a couple of the guys from the main band. Our guitarist was hands down the best musician, though. I never had much competition from peer trumpets and as such became merely mediocre, with a little natural talent to fall back upon. :D

I Like it! Very Calming

The main problem with the song is that your drummer falls into a kinda boring groove and there are a few rough notes. Besides that, everything's good! It stays true to the original tune (which I like) (You can ignore my comment about your drummer if you want...I guess that I'm a bit biased because I am a drummer...) No hard feelings!

XanRethan responds:

No, it's alright. We did have a pretty bad drummer (I remember literally ending a song one time like 20 bpm slower than we started once... I was always trying to play louder to lead him a bit when it got too atrocious). I'm glad you like it. :)

Yep, me likey!

Very relaxing, feels very alive. Easy five and ten. ^_^

XanRethan responds:

Thanks a lot. This was one of my most enjoyed small ensemble pieces. There was one other one I would have liked to play but we never got around to performing it.

go man go!

That is my favorite song to play. I liked how you did the trumpet solo. Its got good a good feel to it. keep up the good work.

XanRethan responds:

The end of the first trumpet solo makes me wish I'd limbered up a bit more beforehand... We'd played many a song with the full band and I was still a little tense when we moved to the small ensemble section of our jazz night. But thank you for the vote of confidence. :)
