"Repetitive...duh"

date: February 14, 2009

Like everyone said, it lacks somthing...BUT that is how it always was with metroid boss music

Author's Response:

Exactly. :P And I'm a remasterer. I don't full-on remix. So my remasters will keep the traits of the original tunes.

Plus, this song was quite good in its repetitive beat, imo. It just plain and simple works.

"good I guess..."

But it certainly lacked something. Personally, you're instrument choice was great, but it sounded to repetitive, kinda like this sentence. You could have seriously varied the pitches or.... something, anything. Its just the main guitar that you used from the very beginning to the end was..... plain.

This was good nonetheless, so I'll give you that, but it had so much potential. =/

Author's Response:

I suggest reading Firerocker's review above...he summed it up pretty well: Metroid music is, at its heart, rather repetitive. But it's repetitive with some excellent beats, which is what makes it epic. :P

I do agree, I could've put more variation in this tune. You'll notice some strings come in on the second loop...that was my effort at variation.

But, at my heart, I remaster songs, not remix them. That means I keep the original tune intact. Loopiness and all. XD

As for the guitar...yeah, I could've refined it more. I apologize for that. I think this was as good as the current software I had at the time could go, you see.

Thanks for the review; it was very constructive! :3
