"Pretty..."

date: November 21, 2009

This song made me think of someone recalling an old memory, on the beach. I admire the soft ocean sounds under the music box, it really gives the song depth. It feels like a dream. I've never played Chrono Cross, but this song is simply amazing regardless. The song length also fits this kind of song, with the music box and all. I hope you make more of this, please.

"You seem really good at the sadder songs."

date: October 12, 2009

And I don't know why that is, but whenever you make a track that is a sad, or kind of depressing track, you really make it sound good. Its so soothing yet so sad. I really hope this isn't a reflection of yourself or anything. I really liked the waves, the music box tones you used. It sounds really great. We must remember though, without sadness there cannot be happiness.

I am good at pretty sounding things :)

It's easier to inject emotion into these kidns of things :)

and no it isn't a reflectino of me hehehe.

and you are right - and without darkness there cannot be light :)

this song alrays reminds me of a music box with a candle on it - set in complete darkness - while it plays while floating on an endless ocean..

"12 out of 5!"

date: December 29, 2008

Man, this made me go back and remember the good old days when games had good plots and characters you would fall in love with and I would actually feel like I accomplished something when I beat them. I miss the old Chrono games. They should totally make another one. Real good remix, I actually shed a tear (which is saying something cause I don't cry real easy) The waves was a real nice touch giving it that relaxing feeling while at the same time the song felt like the end of a long epic story that you didn't want to end making it somewhat sad. You make really good stuff. Keep up with the good work!

Author's Response:

ya I tried to emulate the song t hat plays when "the end" is displayed on the screen - I think it turned out pretty well - its clearer than the original - I listened to the original a while ago and its more muffled, although it has more of the musicbox gear sounds in it I think..

neways glad you liked it! And yes they totally should make another one.

thanks for the review!
