regardless of the presets, it still sounds pretty cool, the melody is really weird, makes me feel like im hearing random improvised notes

Now, your song composition skills are good...but please DONT use FL presets!. Everyone knows what they sound like. Also, you should get some samples. I suggest you buy a couple sample cd's. Im not being an asshole, I am just telling you what is in your best interests. Nobody like to hear FL samples and presets.
