Finally, a Soul Reaver theme that wasn't stolen from the OST. Reviews are appreciated. Being that I'm never satisfied with my work, I'm working on a second edition of this tune as well. This time, my brother is helping me -- and trust me, he works outside the box -- and recording guitar tracks.

Anyway, let's look at the details of this tune:
-4/4, 110 BPM
-3:21 runtime

Because I lost the .flp when my hard drive crashed, I no longer have the instrument/soundfont information. Sorry, guys.

I do know, however, that I used SGM 180 very much. It's a HUGE 'font, but the options it gives you sound pretty awesome. :D Just be aware that the guitars DO NOT sound like guitars; this should be expected of soundfonts, however.

Alright, enough rambling from me. Listen to it, gaw'damn ya!

"Beautiful piece..."

I'd have never imagined this sort of theme for Ozar Midrashim. I like the whole military feel to it. The drums and the cymbals have the real effect of a pre-battle atmosphere. The guitar and the synths (I assume they're synths) are used nicely together. The transitions are as smooth as a baby's bottom and the song is parodied perfectly, without deviating too far from the original, an excellent quality of a cover.

Really one of the greater songs, elevated (not reduced. lol).

I'm glad you like it; we're working on another version of this track, but with the way it's going, it's going to be guitar-heavy (in fact, I don't think I've added a single synth) and have a progressive metal feel. Actually, to more accurately describe it, it's like throwing Raziel, Rush's "YYZ", and a live Primus concert into a blender. Trust me, it'll still be awesome, but it's not going to be the same as this track.

Oh, good, there's actually a track name (I didn't know that was the name; all the MIDIs I can find call it "Kain's Theme" or "Soul Reaver Theme"). Thanks for your review, and I wish some other people would do their own arrangements of Soul Reaver's music (and by arrangement, I DON'T MEAN a blatant theft from the game's OST).
