Stream 'HEY!'

This is our entry to NGUAC Final Round, made in 2 weeks! Its part of an EP that will be released very soon 8). HEY! is a Glitch Hop track with bounce basslines, powerful leads, and big chord stacks, it is very chill, melodic and powerful at the same time. Hope you enjoy! If you were wondering about why is it called HEY! it's because we didn't know how to call it so we asked to our little sister what name should it have and she said HEY! so we thought that name was cool so yeah why not?

Made in FL Studio 12. BPM: 110, key: A# Major.

Part 2:
Part 3:
Part 4:
Part 5:

PS: if you were wondering why did we split the screenshot in parts it was because our mini- laptop screen is too damn small :P

All the presets and sounds used in the song were made from scratch, except for some FX, orchestral instruments and drums.

EDIT 17/08/2017: We won the second place in the N G U A C 2017!! also we replaced the file to fix some problems ;)

List of changes:
-Added a low pass filter automation on the synths at the beginning to fade-in
-Mixed the leads better
-Added HEY! samples in the drop
-Changed the fill before the second drop
-Lowered the volume of the chord stack and bass
-Lowered the volume of the sweeps and fx in general
-Fixed the chords in the first build up
-Changed the melody in the breakdown
-Changed the end of the second drop to make it more epic
-Mixed the piano at the outro better
-Remastered the track.

Disabled the downloads in all the tracks of the EP because it's not released yet, it will be out soon though :D

Very good! I like the neat details such as fills and samples scattered throughout. The chords and bass line complement the lead very well. Good job!

Zelgeon responds:

Thanks for noticing those details lol <3

I really love the melodies, and the bright atmosphere. It's you who made me love Dubstep for the first time, brilliant job! I see you are planning to add more improvements, looking forward to hear that.

I like the blissful mood and melodies. The lead might have a tad too much treble, but overall the frequencies are really well-balanced in the piece. The chopped vocals at :37 were well-done, and I like the sense of climax into 1:10. The chord progression is a little cliche, and the first minute or so does seem a tad dragged out, but the upbeat vibe of the piece is really engrossing. The melodies during the breakdown at 2:10 were enjoyable, and the production quality is really strong. The variations on the melody at 3:12 are really refreshing, although the piece is a tad repetitive overall. I liked the tempo automations at the very end, and the piece comes together really well. This is a really strong track, guys! Keep up the good work. ;)

Thanks for the review! In the updated version of this track we've fixed many things, we made sure to lower the high end of the leads. What do you mean with "the first minute or so does seem a tad dragged out"?
We made the song repetitive on purpose because we wanted to make a really catchy song this time :D
That thing at the final wasn't automations, it was made manually in the piano roll! ;)

Thanks for not disqualifying us again c:

I love this! As I said in a previous review I'm not a fan of the genre but I really like this song regardless. There are a lot of different melodies at play here that flow into each other very well, and the bass is pretty good too and makes parts of the song feel more alive. I especially love the melody that plays in the beginning and near the end :)

Keep making stuff! I followed to hear more awesome music from you
