UPDATE: 07/10/2017 - Remixed and tuned vocal tracks

LYRICS

Here at the bottom of the rock
I don't want you to see my face
Knowing I've got a lot to learn
I know you feel the same
Don't wanna waste time anymore
Not a breath to take in vain
The faults I usually ignore
Are the only things that are left of me

Life to take back
Fuel the fire
No one is waiting on me and that's okay
I deal on fear

I am going all the way
We are worlds apart
And are unraveling
Getting higher over time
Is fleeting oversight
I've been there once before
Never stopping to breathe
Getting high on anxiety
And we're so far gone
Till we fall again

Here at the bottom of the rock
I don't want you to see my face
The things I never got to learn
I'd like to lock away
Don't wanna waste time anymore
Not a breath to take in vain
You know this cannot be ignored
And I'm drowning in my misery

Life to take back
Fuel the fire
No one is waiting on me and that's okay
I deal on fear

I am going all the way
We are worlds apart
And are unraveling
Getting higher over time
Is fleeting oversight
I've been there once before
Never stopping to breathe
Getting high on anxiety
And we're so far gone
Till we fall again

I deal on fear
I'll never fall again
Waiting on you
To fall

I like the groovy guitar riff at the beginning. The drums are crisp and well reverberated. The vocals have a lot of character, and a great frantic energy. My only complaint about the vocals is that they weren’t loud enough in the mix, in fact. The production quality of the piece is strong, but I also thought the drums could be louder, especially during the chorus. I like the lyrics themselves a lot too. I also really enjoyed the breakdown at 2:50 - added some nice structural relief amidst the frantic energy of much of the rest of the piece. Nice job with the structuring, melodic content, and guitar work. Really strong work overall here. Keep it up, JacobCadmus! ;)

9/10

YEAH! Thats the spirit! Great that you also came out of your comfort zone. Should be recognized :) Instantly hooked me. Reminds me of the good rock bands from my school times- Great job Jake. Go get him Tiger!

Keeping the fingers crossed for you :)

pretty good! your vocals sounds pretty good for what is the first time i've ever heard them in a song! they seem to lack some sort of treatment that would make them fit in the mix more. idk, i dont really know how to mix vocals... also it seems to me like every now and then there's a little section of vocals that could be fixed because it sounds slightly off pitch to me (e.g. 3:29)

i like seeing how your style transforms into a punky rock song. the progressions are pretty cool, though i guess i thought that the progressions in your cinematic were slightly more interesting? also the mix is really good IMO. very very heavy and full. almost like stoner rock =p

Thanks man! Yeah I usually give my vocal tracks a good melodyne treatment, though I was tapped out of time. Thankfully with the deadline extension, I'll be posting an updated version with the vocals fixed, haha.

Looks like a handful of Orchestral guys aren't doing orchestral this round! Amazing track Jacob. :D
