Ever had that feeling you were up against all odds? You have set out on a journey to conquer a seemingly invincible enemy with insurmountable odds against you. After a hard grind and a grueling, limit-testing battle, you deliver the final blow as this music kicks in...
---- Historical notes, skip if you don't like long winded stories ----
This one takes me back a while. I used to play Air Rivals (EU equivalent of Ace Online) and when a new server opened up, a small group of friends and I set out to kill the then highest level boss in the game - named Sekhmet - first time on that server. And we managed, despite having a very minimal group of slightly under-leveled gears. I recorded that event and made a short video, even going as far as composing my own soundtrack for it. The year was 2011, I was using Mod-Plug Tracker and the sound samples I was working with were not the best.
I never really completed the piece originally - making several versions that didn't really sit right with me. They were "complete" but missing cohesion and losing steam midway through. In 2013, I decided to start a remake once I got a better grasp of FL Studio and a better set of sound samples. It wasn't really until this year when I added ComposerCloud to my arsenal that things really clicked, though.
Update: I replaced the original soundtrack in the video from 6 years ago and updated a few very small details, then upped to youtube. If you're interested:
