This was my 8th original work and the last on my album "The Calm Before".

Very repetitive. It also doesn't have any complexity with instruments. Also, don't change the key so frequently. That one sound effect before each keychange is strange. I did like the instrument around 2:10. If you had fewer key changes this would have been a much better song.

What can I say? When I made this, I barely had a week's experience. Heck, I still have trouble with original works.
See, what I try to do with most of my songs is that I try to structure them like most songs on the radio: alternating verses and choruses. The repetitiveness is said choruses. I know, this is not the kind of song you'll be hearing on the radio, but I thought it might be better like that.
Another thing: while no artist wants their listeners' ears to bleed when their song plays, my songs aren't created with the primary focus being a good sound. I mean, I try, but what's more important to me personally is that the song creates a feeling for me that I can tie to the inspiration for the song; most of my original works are inspired by events in my past, this one being about a friend's betrayal a little over 7 years ago.

Conclusion: I do this to tell my story, not for the popularity or money (I actually do this for free, TBH).
