I wrote this in December last year but I couldn't for the life of me mix it to sound decent. I opened it up the day before yesterday and got to work on it and it finally came into focus and started sounding pretty cool. I know the mistake I made now and I won't make it again. I'm pretty happy with how it sounds now but I'm always really excited to hear criticisms :)

This track is short, but it was partially inspired by the manic style of music from Super Meat Boy (Danny Baranowsky), in which the songs are often composed of four short sections that lock together in a minute long sequence which then loops.

I might tweak the mix a little here and there, but I'm curious to get some sort of feedback in the meantime.

I hope you enjoy it!

Not bad, I really like the distinct sections you have going on, and there are some really interesting ideas going on I think. I hear some room for variety when it comes to some of the melodies, such as the beginning where it is mostly a variation of the same arpeggiated notes. But all in all it's pretty catchy

Thanks for the review, Connor :) Yeah perhaps the intro and verse ideas are slightly too repetitive. I think the idea at the time was to have a motif in the intro and then develop it in the verse but maybe a bigger variation would've improved it (perhaps even a new melody or much more distinct voice?). Thank you again for taking the time to listen and review! Appreciate it hugely :)

Awsome stuff mate!!
what i would recommend is to have to parts where there is just the synth playing without other stuff and then just filter the chord synth in for example.
but ye other then that dont have much to add since this is damn good for what it is
Awsome job

Thanks man! Alright, I'll have a look at that. I sometimes do add a part or two instead of working on getting my instruments sounding good and juicy, which just adds to clutter. Perhaps this arrangement is too consistently dense. That was a huge problem with this track initially, but I cut down! Thanks again - appreciate the review and the criticism!
