Amazing! I am kinda a fan of megurine Luka so this volcaiod is really good!
Somewhat hastily mixed and made in a library, at that! If anyone knows what genre this'd better fit in, lemme know. I dropped it in synthwave because 90% of my inspiration was 80's music, including instrumentation, drum machines, etc.
First time with Vocaloid 3, with no idea what I'm doing whatsoever. Wrote most of this around 2009 or so, maybe earlier. Song is about accepting impending death, living life to the fullest, and understanding that it could all be ripped away from you in an instant, so no sense dwelling on the past.
Possibly accurate lyrics:
(a choice)
A choice
To sail among the stars
Or to stand upon Megiddo
look upon the mountains as ants
glimse suns numerous as the sands
In her dreams
in her dreams
and she dreams
It will be alright somehow
My feet leave the ground
and marry the fireflies
you know as starlight
As one with the night
With no end in sight
Space-flight
Infinite eternity forever
(forever)
A choice
To sail among the stars
Or to stand upon Megiddo
look upon the mountains as ants
glimse suns numerous as the sands
In her dreams
in her dreams
and she dreams
It will be alright somehow
eternity lies before me
the life I lead darkness left behind me
and in the dark the strength to swallow
all lies
empty pressure with nowhere to hide
A choice
To sail among the stars
Or to stand upon Megiddo
look upon the mountains as ants
glimse suns numerous as the sands
In her dreams
in her dreams
and she dreams
It will be alright somehow
In the absence of sound
can departure be heard
what can a soul learn
in the arms of your love dying
In the absence of sound
in the arms of cold death
to dance one last dance
she would take the chance
A choice
To sail among the stars
Or to stand upon Megiddo
look upon the mountains as ants
glimse suns numerous as the sands
In her dreams
in her dreams
and she dreams
It will be alright somehow
