A "ballad" jam, with 2 guitars - one rythm, one lead. Pure and simple.

normally I first review a song, then I add it on my" favorite" list but I FIRST ADDED THIS SONG TO MY "FAVORITE" LIST THEN REVIEWED. I hope this review is a TOTAL NONSENSE.

"no freakin' way I'd write a summary!"

I love solo guitar enter best, but the whole song is really good. Btw you've got some skill, get a band (or drum machine at least) cause I'd prefer this song with rythm section. For what it sounds like at the moment it's olny 9/10.

Author's Response:

Have a band, but you won't be hearing that here on NG.
Go to my userpage and read the blog-crap there.
Should clear things up, regarding that stuff.

A drum machine could work, I suppose.
I've used one on a couple of other tracks, but to
tell you the truth; I fucking hate that stuff.
Makes me feel dirty, y'know? ;P
Programming music is a mortal sin,
and electronica is the work of Satan (or something like that.)

"Bit above decent."

I don't terribly feel like reviewing anything short of "mindblowing" right now, which this ain't quite, so I'll keep it short.

Considering it's mostly improvisational, this is very well done. The only thing it seems to be missing is some quality (or mastering?) increase.

Basically the guitars go well together, the rythm guitar plays a nice background strumming rhythm to the song, and the lead, well, it plays the lead. The song does what it's designed to do and sounds good doing it, which nets it a four in my book.

This is possibly one of the best reviews I've gotten
on any of my songs.

You totally got the point of what I did here.
Thanks.

"About this song:"

date: January 28, 2007

This is just a smilpe jam that me and my friend did. He plays rythm, I play lead.
The intro is pretty much a rip-off from Silverchair's "Ana's Song", cause that's what we started with, then it just sorta grew from there.
Most of the song is fully original, and improvised (as any jam should be), except for the intro. There's a Dream Theater riff in there too, just cause I felt like it. See if you can spot it. ;D

Author's Response:

"Smilpe"?
Meant to write "Simple".
