Never made a chiptunes song before and tried to go out of my comfort zone to make something for Pixel Day. Found a lot of chiptune music has to be dubstep or really fast so I thought I would try a really stripped down song that would fit in a game.

This is a really great piece that would fit perfectly into a JRPG! Just not too into the very start and end of the track, would of been better if it looped. STILL! You brought through some real emotion with the track and I like it :D

TheJanitor9k responds:

The main idea of the song was the idea of finding and booting up an old floppy disc to discover something wonderful only to have it break immediately after so that it could never be experienced again. Storytelling through music is a weird concept I'll try to make it not sound so abrasive next time, thanks for the input, glad you liked it.

The first time I heard this, I teared up. Geez, I still do. This is so emotional, it feels like this covers an important emotional scene. Geez....this is really touching <3 I love it. Also, the way the mix is, it's extremely addicting and sex to the ears, it hits the right spots. It's soft hits, and not ear piercing. That's amazing. Good job.

This is so chill. I love it! Just with it had some percussion.

I actually started this with percussion but really hated how cluttered it sounded, really wanted to make something clean/soft like a solo piano piece. Might re-release that version later tho.

Happy pixelday!
Wow, I love it, it's very relaxed, and I like the ending and begining sound effect.
Good job!
