Hmmm.... First track this year I guess. This track is a bit special to me since nearly everything here I recorded all by myself from some analogue synthesizers (partly borrowed) over time. Even most of the drums are recorded from an analogue drumcomputer (but I layered them with a "real" drum kit). To collect all the recordings actually took a while. The track itself is quite basic and mainly uses small sequences which are transposed up and down. The sound design on the synthies took actually most of the time but also was the main fun part. It´s funny: I started with normal acoustic music (playing in life bands), switched to producing "acoustic" tracks on a computer with sampled instruments and ended up here making electronic without computer instruments by recording analogue synths...

As artwork I took "The Sequencer" by ErrorCell ( http://errorcell.newgrounds.com/ ) since I thought this fits to a sequenced track.

P.S.: Sorry for being that inactive these days but real life sometimes eats too much time :)

Mr. Robot should know this ;) Thanks a lot! This track took me ages to collect all the sounds... Good to hear that it was worth it!

The intro immediately gave me an FFVII feel. I say that about a lot of things, but few things remind me of it this much. Not in ways of intrumentation or style, necessarily, but more in the type of chords and atmosphere.

Even without that, this is an awesome listen! Full of cool stuff, the progression is incredible, and the rhythm is addictive. And this is almost all made with synths? That's super cool o.O!!

I don't know what more to say, other than that I 100% absolutely totally love this. Great work, man!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the nice feedback! Although I played FFVII when it came out I had to look up the soundtrack again now since I didn´t remember it very well (funny if you played a game as a child for 100+ hours...). I definitely see what you mean (you mean these transposed arpeggios in the prelude I guess). Anyway, glad you like it and thanks again for the review!

I don't really like this genre, but this one was really nice. I loved those distorted noises. Also the arpeggio on the background was very interesting. Some of the instruments sounded bad in my ear, but maybe it's just the genre. Song kept going more and more intensive all the time. Overall this song was very enjoyable experience, because I wasn't able to guess what is happening next.

Hey! Thanks for the review. It finally arrived after that stupid lag :) Hmmm... Glad you liked it although you don´t like the genre. The genre is actually quite broad and you can find some real pearls if you are looking for them. Try to have listen to Oscillotron for example. They´re really good. Could you explain a bit more in detail what you mean with "sounded bad"? Maybe this could help me to change this the next time.

I always love when people use analogue synths over plug-ins, it makes it that much more special imo. Talk about an ominous track. This could definitely be a final boss battle or something. Those glitchy sounds scattered throughout are such a nice touch as well. It really adds to the menace of it all. There's a nice variety of patches and sounds used here as well. Production is solid too. Overall a really excellent track, it ticks all the boxes for me. Nice work!

Hey! Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! Didn´t have a boss fight in mind but it´s nice that it might fit. Try to listen to your track when I wake up again :)
