A little 8-bit/chiptune inspired VGM tune.

Made in Pro Tools using Massive and Kontakt, tried to use a minimal amount of elements to fit the retro style, while still giving it a little electro flare.

ConnorGrail responds:

As far as I know there have been a handful of people that have grabbed it, so it's possible!

simple

best 2:05 of my life

It's really cool and happy!
I love how you mixed chiptune with a Reggae(?) style.
Keep up that nice work!

Btw, which advice would you give to someone who wants to make chiptune music?

ConnorGrail responds:

I hadn't thought of it as a Reggae style, but now that you say that I can hear a bit of it!
I just listened to a bit of the stuff on your page, and I think you've already got a good start! Probably the best thing to do is listen to a bunch of stuff you like and figure out what makes them good, and how they are composed. Also free tutorials are everywhere online.

I think you did a pretty fine job with this. The opening is a fun and relaxing experience. Brings me back to my old NES days but has its own unique style. Its not over the top like a lot of people try to do with this type of music these days. I honestly thought i was gonna click into some sort of cluster of sounds but I'm happily surprised. Good work on this!

ConnorGrail responds:

Glad you enjoy it!
Definitely guilty of cramming way too much stuff into some songs... but there's a time and a place for simplicity for sure.
Thanks for listening!
