Lately I've been coming up with my base loop on the fly and then start adding layers according to what "sounds right", after a while I felt this was sort of an ambient homage to a clockwork robot, like in the Dr Who episode "The Girl in the Fireplace" and so the name "Shakespeare's Robot" was born... would make a great premise for a movie I reckon!
