Hey there guys,

Here is another one of the ingame level tracks of the Elder Scrolls - Oblivion mod "RATHUNAS" that i have created for it. The mod is stil beta and offers a large (5-10 hours of gameplay) and elaborate quest with riddles and lots of wonderful details. 35 voiceactors were recorded. The mod is developed by Scott and Katherine Courtney who did an excellent job creating this great project.

If you liked the track also check out my Trailer i also composed the soundtrack for:

Thanks a lot ET16. I am not totally happy with the string sound here - i used Cinematic Strings 2 because it allows me to compose quickly. But for intimate and late-romantic stuff i guess Hollywood Strings Diamond would have more depth. Maybe i will make a Hollywood Strings version of this to see how much it improves it (i mean - its a library with 350 GB sample size in 5 Mic Positions etc. Thats why it just has more depths. I am curious how this will turn out).

Thanks a lot for your kindnes and please excuse the very late reply. All the best and a happpy new year,

Chris

This is a marvelous piece of work. I love the strings most in here. The attention to details here is amazing. Beautiful arrangement and melodies.

Excellent work on the piece.

This piece has so many layers that it takes several passes to appreciate them all -- and yet they blend perfectly so it does not feel at all cluttered or distracting.

The horns, and the carefully-applied SFX, make this piece absolutely sparkle.

Those who have not heard this piece in the context of the overall Rathunas work may not appreciate just how magnificently Chris has blended this piece alongside not only his own other Rathunas tracks, but also those of collaborating composer Pedro Almeida. The piece stands on its own as a beautiful artistic work, and yet it clearly joins its siblings within the fabric of the overall artistic vision.

Well done!

This sounds lovely :)
The arrangement reminds me of some Final Fantasy VII tracks. Then again, I say that about pretty much everything, it seems :p
Either way, great job on this :D

Thanks friend. Since my father died i wasn´t in the mood to compose. I started that track short befor his accident. And yesterday i got back to composition again. And i guess i will write more stuff in the near time. To be compared with Nobuo Uematsu can never be a bad thing :D

All the best!
