Ok now this is interesting. So you composed the track in Renoise and are using middleware to play it in-game?
I have heard of MOD music (IT, S3M, MOD, XM ... etc) being used for games, but never Renoise.
It's pretty smart, because the quality remains high even though the filesize has the potential to be very small. Are there any limitations to doing it this way?

Yes. We compose in Renoise then convert to XM, so we're ultimately limited by that format's capabilities (no DSPs or automation, etc).
And yes, the filesizes are tiny - 1.8MB for an hour of music in Chapter 1.
