An idea that I've had in my head since before I made This Means War that I wanted to be momentus and completely epic. I put so much time and thought into this. The hardest part was figuring out the plugins to use for the sounds. I was using Sytrus, Harmor (My Fav), BassDrum, and some Love Philters to make it all come together. I also used a program called Audacity to create the lyrics. My favorite part of the song, though, is either part with Harmor's "Decimate Voice".
The song is based off an old symphony piece from 1876 by Edvard Grieg called "In the Hall of the Mountain King". I'm sure most of you know the name, though. It's a very well-known piece. For some reason I wanted to make a horror based dubstep song based on the main melody. Apparently the original play called "Peer Gynt" was full of trolls, goblins, and other mythical creatures like that. This piece definitely contradicts that. In fact, I had in mind that maybe there were a few modern, risk-taking, rule-breaking teenagers who ventured into an old, condemned castle. Obviously that little trip didn't turn out too well for them.
Now the idea of the album art was just pure inspiration. I was thinking maybe a ghostly castle with a couple glowing arms, glowing eyes, and a glowing, ghostly crown (because, after all, he is a king!) I did decide against the crown, though. Then, with the help of all the wonderful filters in GIMP, I was able to do quite a lot of image magic, i.e. the shaded border. If you ever want an extremely good image editing program, but you don't feel like investing in Photoshop, I would recommend GIMP every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.
Anyway, if you are getting sick of these scary, ambient compositions, I can relieve you in that this will be the last one for a while. My next one is planned to have a happy, jumpy mood, but that's just an idea...

The lyrics are as follows:

VERSE 1
Welcome to my humble home
I hope you enjoy your stay
I will tell you now as run and hide
That you cannot get away

As you run throughout my halls and on
Escape you'll never see
For my palace is an ever-shifting maze
And the doors are lock and key

There isn't a single hallway in here
That my presence you won't find
I must have you and feed on your fear
You'll forever be locked inside

And 'round every corner, through every door
You'll find nothing but fright
My guest, make yourself right at home
'Cause you won't be leaving tonight

VERSE 2
I will do this for all eternity
There is no end to my reign
Around and around I will chase you
And do it again and again

You still don't know who I am, you say?
Have I not taught you a thing?
If I must be even so clear to you,
Who am I? THE GHOST OF THE MOUNTAIN KING!
