Nice. Maybe the percussion sounds too strong but other than that it's good.
This is fairly short, as I wanted to post something for you guys right before I leave for three weeks! Don't worry, when I come back I will have loads of longer stuff to share. Take Care <3!
EDIT: If you guys really like this, I am happy to make it much longer when I get back.
Nice. Maybe the percussion sounds too strong but other than that it's good.
damn i love it, tho it does get repetitive imo.
still 5 star worthy!
It takes quite a while for the actual melody to come in, which should probably come in earlier. Having a solid melody early on really catches the attention of the listener, rather than chords which repeat for a while. There's a bit of percussion variation, but there should be a bit more melodic elements. And on the subject of percussion, one thing I recommend is sidechaining, or lowering the sound with the kick. Mostly this should be on pads and basses, with a moderate amount on the lead. Gross Beat is a good plugin to use as a free alternative to LFOTool or Kickstart. Also, some of the tropical drums could use some (more) EQing. Another thing I would have liked to hear even though it's unnecessary is a drop. Otherwise, it's a pretty good song.
Yes!!! Something I can lend actual advice to.
The bass at some parts pops out too much in my opinion, as the plucks should have the attention of the listener.
I am a little disappointed that there is no drop really.. Since you have not included one, I can only advise that you try to include side chain in your house tracks especially (that is a really crucial element in house.. trust me).
You also want to avoid the whole 'kick' 'kick' 'kick' 'kick' feeling of some ineffective tracks out there. Some of your percussion variation is quite solid, with the hats/rides/shakers being at a good volume (not too loud.. just right). Since there is a lot of progressive/tropical house out there, all producers really have to step up their game in order to make super dynamic and awesome mixes.
Keep it up, because it is really good that you are experimenting with genres.
Let me know if you want any other advice on house tracks, because that is what I usually focus on.
Good luck, and get inspired during those three weeks!!!
Pretty catchy, I like the percussion.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
