Not bad, you have a very solid hook here, I like how you used the filters to transition into the 8-bit bass arp. Reminds me of Antidote by Swedish House Mafia a little, and the title suggests that might be the theme you're going for (but of course, you're an artist so you do you). I think you should come back to this, it has a lot of potential (seriously that hook though). I like a lot of the instruments you are using in this right now, another sound I imagine going with it is the Knife Party Woop sound but as a lead instead of an sound effect. It's a simple sound if you google it.

Although Jay may make some vague critiques here, there is one thing I agree with him on. The mixing of the drums. If anything though maybe you could use more sidechain/compression on your instruments to give some space for your percussion. A lazier way to do it is to have a limiter on the master track and just turn up the percussion track.

How you decide to handle the phrasing is up to you, it makes no difference to me in this case. Sometimes making a small change to the idea when your bring it back is sometimes a good phrasing technique, like having a different percussion track on the repeated idea.

Thank you for your honest review :) I'll try to do the drums and sidechain a little better.

What i love about your reviews is that you take it from a standpoint of what the song is and how it's done, not being bossy and giving general advice is great and i thank you so much for that :)

I hope we can talk more since you seem like a great guy. Thank you so much :)

So. Good idea. Here are some things I didn't like about it:

1. The samples weren't great.
2. The sidechain/compression was too aggressive.
3. The drums were not mixed properly. In this style of music the drums and the kick are ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL. They are barely audible in this recording.
4. The phrasing doesn't change. I can respect bringing back a certain phrasing during a song to bring familiarity back, but you are using phrasing to much in a linear way.
5. Just because you are an electric artist doesn't mean you can't be more dynamic and creative.

Things that I liked about the song:

1. It was on the click
2. The length of the song was extensive.

Really? That's not even a reason. That's being a dick and saying oh, you made this a different style? Well screw you and make it my way.
2. Sidechain compression? Bro, i don't even have sidechain compression.
3. Imo the drums are good, can't take this as a thing i could improve, since i can hear them well.
4.Phrasing too much? I mean i have the bassy part come in but it's different the second time, did you even listen?
1. Samples? you mean the only one sample i used? Great.

I know you want to critizice, but this is horrible and dosen't help me, Just don't come screaming to me that you don't like it since it's not essentially your way you want it. Maybe it's not that good, but still.

I'll maybe try to use this, but i can't since there's nohting to use.
