"Has a good solid beat, while not over-doing it"

date: April 11, 2007

I have to say, I like this song. It's got a good rhythm, and hits many emotional keys. You go from a good epic dark start to a faster paced beat. I love the addition of the scream sound effect, I like it when people give their music emotion, or have it try to convey it. Reminded me of music you would hear in an old vampire video game. You also managed to diversify your music enough to keep someone entertained. I only rated your effort so low, because it's hard to actually rate what you can't really tell. Out of experience I know this took you a while, but it could have maybe been a bit longer maybe revisted the introduction. Overall very impressive.

"Great Piano Sequence"

date: January 12, 2007

My Thoughts
The song felt to me more of a near death sequence since it was filled with random instruments. It later started sounding like some type of creature evolving and becoming strong than he was before. The drums gave off a good bass and the piano added tenseness to the song. Great tempo speed and the song had my heart racing on some occasions. The end with the scream was not bad, but didn't fit the song sequence for me.

My Category Thoughts
The quality was awful at the beggining of the song, but got a lot better throughout. I'm guessing you did that in purpose, which is mutual for the song. This song was very original, me myself not hearing something like this in a while, and you seemed to give great efforts making this song.

Random/Useless Fact(s)
I use to play the piano, but I stoped because it wasn't my thing.

Author's Response:

Cool thanks for reviewing megagold.

See the tension that you felt was something I was trying hard to accomplish, it wasn't easy and this was the first dark track I have made, with the intention of it being dark.

The scream at the end, I felt was necessary, though a better sound or perhaps a glitched up scream may have done it justice. the whole sequence leading up to the ending, was supposed to represent the following:

the bass drum changed pace, and was supposed to represent a heart beat leading out towards the end, coming to ao complete standstill then followed by a scream. hope that helps your understanding, or rather my ideas that i tried to throw out into this piece.

Thanks again

Peace Out!

"HELL YEAH"

date: December 28, 2006

This is my kinda jazz, yo.

Great panning. I especially love those claps!!!
Lots of very interesting sounds in this trk.
I hear some staticy stuff on the beginning organ or on something... It seems to only bee in the left speaker. Like it was turned up too loud or something. I also hear static on the kick, but it's kind of desirable for that glitchy feeling.

I'm starting to think I listen too closely rather than just chill to the music.

anywho....
I really like the vibe. and everything fits very well together. Wonderful intro, those ending screams scared me lol.

-Cheers

"MASTER YOUR SONGS STEALTH ANNIHILATOR!"

date: December 26, 2006

ya.

and ya i dunno if this is the right genre.. its like.. intustrial and vg and mics all wrapped into one. But all your songs lack any mastering whatsoever dude - and it totally ruins what could be a very enjoyable experience - you got a lot of power you just have to set up proper limitations for it!

this song IS cool tho. It's just its peaking ALL the time.

if you want i might be able to help you master your songs - gimme a buzz if u need some help mate ^^

-shawn-

Author's Response:

Oh man, you've hurt my feelings :(

I did master this, I swear, maybe not enough though, tips on this are always welcome, I'm aiming to improve all the time

Thanks again Chron

Peace Out!
