I like space, a lot, and thought I'd make a song trying to evoke the feeling of being out there somewhat. I got this.

Nice bassline, mixing is defo the issue here.

Since you put it under ambient I won't criticize it on being 'repetitive' since this is more on the atmosphere.

What is a legit gripe with this track as Deftone puts it, the high pitch really destroys it.

Now I do disagree with him on it not fitting and more it just being mixed a bit poorly.

Just put a high-pass filter on the snares and fills and it will definitely help your song alot more.

Really solid track. A little bit repetitive, but you still have something really cool here. Mess around with some mixer effects and see what you can do to change things up a little. Also consider adding some other sounds in there to change the track up a bit.

Kalviter responds:

Cheers for giving this a look, and thanks for the feedback! It's an old song, I've tried to carry those lessons forward in my newer stuff, but I might go back one day and remake this.

It has a really nice, chill vibe to it. However, I don't really like the beat. It sounds a little too high pitched and doesn't sound very pleasant to my ears.

Also, it gets too repetitive. If you were to change up the beat a few times over the course of the song it would make it sound not so unvaried.

Kalviter responds:

This one's part of a series of what are supposed to be instrumentals (For rappers and stuff, yeah I know, it's weird, allow me) so I'm not bothered about the repetitiveness.

The beat bit does interest me though, since the few other people I've had listen to it haven't mentioned it. I have remastered this one about seven times so it wouldn't surprise me if it needed redoing again. Thanks for listening!
