One of the best tracks I've found on this website ! I hope downloads one day will be enabled so I could use this song in Geometry Dash :)

I like the somewhat ominous yet tranquil mood at the beginning...even when that melody plays later (:58) on top of all those heavy breaks, it still sounds sneaky and calming. XD Also, don't think I wouldn't recognize that same snare from "Zulrah" at 1:18. It's a cool sample, but I'm generally not a fan of artists reusing the same drum samples over and over again (not that I have any evidence to suggest that you've done that with other samples). That said, I love the consistently dark, powerful, and energetic vibe this piece has. The mixing is pretty good, although this piece is very full-textured (i.e., tough to master!). Also, I love the instrumentation here. Those haunting pads at around 4:15 are great, and I love how this piece came full-circle with that melody again at 4:30. Overall great work. ;D

Malifex responds:

Haha, you got me there. I just love that snare sample so much ;p I've been leaning towards making my own drums now, and relying less on sample packs, though.

Anyways, yeah, this is definitely one of my favorite compositions, though it seems be one of the less popular ones :( it's got a lot of work put into the atmosphere, and I think it'd actually transition quite well to a fully orchestral instrumentation, with some changes to the main melodies to make them a bit more melodic and less growl-based. I did have a hard time mastering it, and I'm only partially satisfied with the outcome.

As always, thanks for the great response :)
