A Rising ParagonX9

I have to say, Maestro, you have outdone yourself. You are practically the Juggernaut of the music of Newground's Classical music.

-Best of luck,

A moving piece

This one stirs a feeling inside as well. It is not profound, not brazen, but it is there. It resides, and waits, biding it's time to shine. Very good. For my story...

A boy marches along with his fellows, endless ranks extend to the horizon. They look the same, act the same, hide who they really are behind false actions. This boy stops suddenly, and looks around himself. He whispers softly to himself "What have I become? Where have I gone? What has happened?" He looks down at his hands, then puts them to his face. "This is not who I am. This is not what I was meant to be!" He begins to remove the mask, a new person shines through, his true self. He shines like a beacon among the others, spreading the light to the ones around him, they begin to question themselves as well. Each one in turn begins to remove the mask, to overcome their own fears and to be themselves, show themselves to the real world. A new day has dawned on their world, and they are the sculptors of their own futures, not someone else. They are the ones who make their decisions, not the ones around them. They are free.

That is what comes to me form this song. Thank you for another wonderful piece.

that is a wonderful story Link1243. Though seeing the light of others, there are some who feel jealous that they would do that. Mock them, tear at them, tell them to put their masks back on, for they liked them better like that.

To be yourself, and I mean, REALLY yourself, is a courage that I too do not have. A rare and powerful spirit could dare venture forward like that. It's true, sometimes, hiding is best, but to be able to stop hiding when you want, that is a real strength.

Sorry for the rant, and the super delayed response!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it!

Another wonderful piece

"I see a lot of young people nowadays wasting away, putting up so many masks for others and themselves until they forget who they really are, and then give up on trying to find out."

Huh. I can't help but agree with you. In my opinion, the world is going to the dumps. It doesn't help that youths are more concerned with fashion and technology, than with how they can help the world.

Anyway, great job with the music. I'm stumped with what to say, now that a ton of stuff is swimming through my head.

MaestroRage responds:

I'm glad you agree with me Lenlyra. There will be rude awakenings abound when the time is right, what they will do when that call arrives, is their own responsibility.

I'm glad you liked the piece, and I am thankful for the review.

I also apologize for the late response :(

Guiding

The drums in this song reminds of those marching one, if listened to without accompaniment (I don't really know what to call them, lack of experience on my part). With the idea of youths braving the future, it feels like this is a march of the next generation on the road their parents had laid down. The drums give an impression of a strict manner.

The idea of military order and youth makes me think of conscription, which reminds me of the times at the beginning of the World Wars. Powerful, yet in a subtle way.

MaestroRage responds:

an interesting notion ArK, this piece in particular focused more so on the defiance today's youth is going to need to control their futures. I see a lot of young people nowadays wasting away, putting up so many masks for others and themselves until they forget who they really are, and then give up on trying to find out.

It's really a sad thing, because the world will not be forgiving. To want to live in their own paradise for as long as they can.

This was for them, and for all others who would slowly start breaking towards a path they don't want. Only they can live and enjoy their life.

Thank you for the review ArK, I apologize for the rant ;).I'm glad you liked the piece.
