Throughout the week, for Pixel Day, I'm uploading the soundtrack I made for an unreleased, unfinished fan tribute game of The Thing film from the 80's I was a part of in 2012, and stopped later in 2013. The soundtrack which consists of 7 songs. I was also a writer, working with Saminat, Deathink, and Schulles on the game.

This track was the song to be played during a special scene we added that actually wasn't in the film. We thought, "what if they actually found the alien ship, and explored inside of it?" which lead to ideas for easter eggs, one involving...Richard Simmons I think? It would have given fans more background on the aliens, fanfiction stuff.

Out of the OST you uploaded, I liked this one the most (Outpost 31 was a close 2nd for me). It has really great melodies and is versatile. And what I love about it is that it suits the scenario you described just perfectly. Great work!

My favourite from the soundtrack.

The waves you've used for each instrument is perfect!

The melody at 1:40something with the bends sounds awesome. I enjoy some chiptune and chip inspired music. What did you use to write/produce this track if you don't mind me asking? I loved it.

RealFaction responds:

Thanks! I used FL Studio (9 at the time I think?) and all I used was Osc x3 synths and I modified them with the buttons and all, and added effects. :) thanks!
