For the tribe RoBAC in Tribal Wars, one of the most difficult pieces i've produced! Enjoy!

Incredible

Y'know, I've listened to most of your songs, and like usual, you drop out stellar stuff yet again.

The title perfectly describes the piece - it begins already building up the entire song, but ends up delivering what I believe you intended it to - almost an uncontrollable chaos that you masterfully sound out.

Despite the piece’s impressiveness, there were a few quirks I noticed. First, though I understand why the bass drum is so important to this piece, I think it dominated a bit too much in the very beginning. I also believed the piece stopped somewhat abruptly at the end.

Despite the problems, it was good enough that I decided to check out the game "Tribal Wars" - and, it's rather fun. So, thanks!

Like usual, you delivered stellar material, and I'm pretty sure you know that. You have a way of doing it, and I'm happy to have the opportunity to listen to these sorts of pieces. Good work!

MaestroRage responds:

ah yes, the bass drums, how I rue thee! They were incredibly difficult to equalize, I wanted their AWESOME power, but that power could not be attained without it AWESOMELY screwing up all my equalizing, sadly after spending several hours of it, I noticed my level of equalizing was simply not up to par to the songs demand.

I did the best I could, but it wasn't enough, even today I doubt I would have the knowledge and skill to do it, though i've gotten better over the months.

The piece did end abruptly, I ran out of time, and frankly had to wrap things up fast, a shame I had a few more ideas I wanted to throw in it, simply they were never to exist I guess.

I'm glad you liked the piece, I hope you enjoy Tribal Wars, it's consumed my soul so watch yourself XD.

A great heavy sound.

This song is the kind of music that I would think of when I play CnC. The music sounds like it would fit perfectly for images of armies crossing barren terrain. This track directed me here, now time to listen to everything else. Good stuff.

MaestroRage responds:

CnC eh? I miss that game, I wish I still had it.

The imagery I had in my head while it's construction was that of vast armies slowly marching to the destruction of those around them.

I even have one with vocals and sound effects, but I didn't think it was that much of an improvement and so decided against putting it up here, though maybe one day, why not.

Thank you for the review ArK, I'm glad you enjoyed the piece!

Epic

This is an interesting piece of music you made. I can see this in an epic scene. I liked how at first it sounded like a running scene and then went quiet for a second and then went into a diverse melody that can supply many scenes in the mind at once. Interesting how it can tell stories with the sound and the listener's imagination.

You did very well at this one. It sounds very epic and diverse.

One of the few that gets straight tens from me.

MaestroRage responds:

Hmm, I missed this review as well, again my apologies to responding to them so late. I really should write myself a "to do" list every day when I wake up.

In any case, this one I spent a great deal of time on, the tribe I had made this anthem for was a very large and powerful one, so I made sure it was something that would reflect on them.

Sadly they never seemed to do anything with it, and never responded to any of my letters, so I guess it was all wasted effort.

Still I did learn a good deal from it, so I didn't walk away empty handed.

Once again thank you Heinrich for the review, means a good deal to me, i'm glad you liked the piece!

Very original sound

Great melody work! I really like how well it fits the theme. Insturment diversity also adds a great deal to this piece. I could see this in a movie, Warhammer perhaps =p?

MaestroRage responds:

I'm a rather big fan of Warhammer. I must admit sometimes the dialogue gets a tad too much, but the universe of Warhammer itself is so damn fascinating.

I'm glad you liked the song, it was an undertaking well worth the effort :D.

Thank you for the review, once again i'm glad you liked it ^^.

MaestroRage responds:

Of course, use away my good sir, I make each of these pieces with a hope they'd find it inspiring or at the least useful.

I'm glad you liked it, thank you for the review. Keep me up to date on the movie ^^. I enjoy a good battle scene.
