"nice song, just some tips"

date: November 17, 2006

This is a good song, melody-wise. The notes put together are good in most places. where I would like to point out is that the main guitar riff is too plain, not that i mean it is boring, but i find it would be better on the ears if the melody was changed just a bit every other bar.

Something I need to teach you, (with the WARRIOR collab if u want) is the compression on drums. first of all add an MClass EQ and MClass Compressor for each drum sound (kick, snare, hat...), the order in which you put EQ/Compressor DOES make a difference, but its all down to personal preference. Then boost the EQ accordingly to the sound you want, then if you want massive pumping sounds, turn up the input gain a bit, then the threshold to between -19.0dB to -1.0dB (play with this a bit, depending on loudness) then the amount/ratio knob to 4:1 to 16:0 (higher the ratio, the more excess sound is reduced) then set the attack to a long time, and the release to a short time, then adjust the output gain to wahtever final sound volume is desired. you should a punchy sound with the right attack/release settings, just fiddle with ratio and threshold a bit.
