You're amazing my friend.
I cant see how anyone could vote lower than a 5. I've always secretly wanted to write music like this, but then I'll completely dismiss the idea because I realize how much f*ing work it is. Writing music is to be enjoyed (if you cant enjoy then what's the point?), and I enjoy writing music the way I do. But if I could write one song... just one like this one... but whatever it'll never happen. Thanks for posting this on Newgrounds!
Ah, zero voters are like that :P
Yeah, writing orchestral music is a lot of work, no lying. But you can do it! Don't doubt yourself.
thanks for reviewing!
btw, does anyone find it ironic that you reviewed me a year after I submitted this song? on halloween, no less? haha.

Holy Crap1!
Man, this is so peaceful and yet, so cheerful :D. Really, I just wrote a kind of depressing letter and this cheered me up.
I love the main theme. And especially the crescendo at 0:44 to 0:51. The percussion is great and everything. What's that instrument you used as a background theme? (I wish I could describe the instruments I hear). Anyway, I like that too.
I wish you good luck in MAC6-October, too bad those bastards wont take the high-quality version as the contestant track.
I'm kidding about the "bastard" thing (Even if its true, lol jk).
Good Job! 5/5
I'm looking forward for more submissions from you.

Hey, thanks. I had a kind of crappy day, and this review cheered me up. I'm glad this song was able to cheer you up too ;)
I spent some time developing the main theme, even going with it to C major. The only percussion instrument is tubular bells, and they were quite easy to write; I'm glad you liked it. Sorry, I don't know what background theme you mean (I wish I could answer your question).
Lol that's okay that this version won't be my contestant. I just hope people will focus on the actual compositional value of the piece. Thanks for your 5, man. I appreciate it.

+Dynamics are very nicely used throughout the song.
-I don't like how much of the song is strings, maybe add a fuller ensemble?
+Composed very nicely my friend : )
+The feeling is very well attained.
+ & - The tempo changes are slightly weird at first, but they kinda grew on me throughout the song, very nice.
+ & - Using the GPO recording, it seems as though some elements are lost in the mixing compared to your first recording.
Wow dude, very nice!

I did work some with those dynamics. Took some time lol, thanks. This song is supposed to be just string orchestra with bells and solo flute. I found that brass, other winds, or even percussion ruined the feel I was going for. Yeah, I thought the tempo changes were slightly odd, but I just wanted certain parts faster and certain parts shorter lol. It turned out not too bad in that aspect. What type of elements seem to be lost in this recording? (Do you mean this is a bad thing?)
Thanks for the review man. I'll check out your audio sometime.
