i usually don't like songs with singing in them, but i dug this, the lyrics kind of gave a nice mood and the backing music was nice too

Waxlimbs responds:

Thank you for the nice review! Really glad you ended up liking the song. :D

Nice overall production! Sound choice is relatively quintessential and the harmonic progression is solid. A bit of a mix-up to keep engagement in the middle is nice. You have a very good singing voice, but at places, especially at the beginning, I wasn't sure what the melody was that you were singing, so it sounded awkward. Perhaps doubling your vocal part with something would have helped make some of those pitches stand out and sound like they were on purpose. I know it's experimental, but I would have preferred something with a more solid structure, especially for someone who can sing and such a real-life subject matter. I mean, snowfall in October? That's great material since not a lot of people experience that. Maybe I'm too hyper-analyticalllllll...well, nice song. Could have been a bit longer, but pleasant as is. Great job!

I take it you live in the Northeast then? It flurried yesterday here.

Anyway, I have nothing bad to say about this. The mix is perfect, the composition is perfect... it's perfect. Might I be wrong in saying you take influence from Lunatic Soul? A lot of the atmosphere reminds me of that project, and it's one of my favorites.

I do, Montreal for school and Toronto for the rest of my life!
This is really nice of you! Thanks so much. I haven't heard of Lunatic Soul, but I'll give them a listen now for sure. Thanks for turning me on to new things :)

EDIT: Oooooo I like this!
