I don't know about you, but...

All this remix hate is grating on my nerves. Remixing is a skill, and a fleeting one, at that. You've got a gift for taking music and turning it into something completely different, and yet somehow keeping the feel of what it used to be. I respect that, and even if this song is a bit disgustingly whiny for me, you make it a lot more entertaining with your special touch.

Keep 'em coming plox.

Good (4/5)

Originality: It's a remix, and just an average one at that.

Diversity: I liked the different styles throughout the song, but I have a hunch that some of those styles were based off of the original song.

Clarity: Crystal Clear

Effort: It seems that you put forth a pretty good effort, but no one will receive a ten from me in this category as long as the work was a remix of someone else's work.

Overall: It seems a lot of your work is based off of someone else's, you really need to start making your own music if you ever want to get people to notice your music. I like your remixes, but they are remixes.

Meh.

...........o_O Have you HEARD the original song? No way.

A remix is just an original that uses another song as a base. Stil very original. Basically like sampling. A large number of artists encourage it.

It's like 'remix' is a dirty word to you. MANY artists have a brilliant career based around remixing other people's songs. Remixing is completely legal and are welcome in the music industry. They are on the same par as originals. Plaegerism is frowned upon of course, but remixing takes just as much skill as producing original tracks. Maybe even more so.

As for making my own music? I've been making my own music far longer than I have been remixing. Most of my albums are collections of originals. There are a few remixes in there.

I have started another line of projects where I create CD's full of my remixes.

This is awesome. Gosh, best thing on here so far ^_^.

DJ-RISE responds:

LOL. Thanks. It took me ages to get this song done. The synths were a bitch.

And the song that gave me the idea for this track was Evermore- It's Too Late (Dirty South Remix)
