Hi! I am Jawns, and i recently joined newgrounds. This is bot the first song i upload to the website, and the first song i finished in LMMS.
If you have any kind of criticism, please throw it my way! It could be anything from "This instrument sounds kinda weird" to "Your short description is too long". Be brutally honest (without being a dick). I can take it. Just don't use too difficult production terms, since i am still very much a newbie when it comes to electronic music.
Feel free to use this song in any project you want! Just make sure you credit me as the creator.
PS: I know the song starts ends quite abruptly. This is because the song was made so it can easily loop back around: It's basically a 5 min loop. If you want to use a version that has a more "proper" beginning and ending, pm me, and i'll see what i can do!

The flute-y instrument was a bit loud, and some notes seemed like they were put there so you could see how they sounded, and you just kept them there. On the flip side, the arpeggios were nice, and the organ and bass kept it flowing nicely. I like your style mate, so keep it up!

Thanks for the review! I was wondering, if you could specify what notes sounded out of place, perhaps pm me, since i don't really see it (because i am obviously biased, as the creator)

My first thought was Tron, but with the chord progression and the organ at the beginning, I hear a Philip Glass style of writing. My only gripe about this piece is the composition aspect of it. The chord choices seem a little like rambling as if you were improvising and unsure of where you want to go with what you're trying to say. There are phrases that work well such as at 1:20 and 2:38, but the connection between sections aren't quite linear compositionally speaking. I think it took too long to get to that section as well from the beginning which gives it a repetitive feel only because at first you grabbed my attention with the arpeggios but I ended up waiting too long for the next part. Production wise, I don't have any issues with this. Not too shabby, mate.

Thanks for the response! I guess it makes sense that it comes of as a bit "rambly", since i just put in 2 chords at random at first, and worked my way from there. I do often work that way. Maybe i should stop doing that :D
I'm really happy the production was fine! I honestly had very little idea what i was doing, so glad that worked out!
