I've always loved the sound produced by the C64 and Amiga systems, so I wanted to try a song with that style. I use a lot more channels in this though, and there are 1 or 2 additional effects added.

This is my 3rd and final submission for the Newgrounds Inspired Music Contest. One of the inspirations for this song was the main art piece for the contest itself, by JinnDEvil. Although the entirety of JinnDEvil's art catalog inspired the song really, that pixel-art gives such a nostalgic feeling. :3

I thought I'd go for a Main Menu theme loop, so you'd see it at the "Press Start To Begin" screen, or through the options menu etc.

(I forgot to mention before, I included a short section of Endless Handbag in the song)

the beginning makes me think its a game where the character is going to suffer

the middle sounds like he's against or with the "evil"

and around the end i can almost see it say just press start already and done good to the loop

Great job on the mixing, definitely in your face. Reminds me of Sonic Spinball music in a way, mixed with another game i can't think of at the moment. Not much more to say really, but it makes a good title screen song for sure! Awesome.

Thanks. I completely forgot about Sonic Spinball, I do love that music though. :)
I suppose if there were any videogame influences in this, it would probably be something along the line of Chris Huelsbeck's music, like the Turrican soundtracks.
