Normally, I don't really make tunes on that HP Music Jam Maker software in particular. I can't do a whole lot on it like I can do with my ACID Style software...

The story: I've got this lovely looking biennial plant in the little pot at my bookstore, called a Foxglove. It's become my new favorite plant, after I've looked up some interesting info on it. I find it really cool that this gorgeous plant mimics a perennial. I've never actually been up close to this type of plant before...and I'm such a noob about making sure it stays healthy so I can sell it at my bookshop. :(

I made a video on my main YouTube channel about my talking about the foxglove and the information I looked up online last week. Recently I found out that there's one more thing to keep in mind; it is poisonous! Kids and pets should not eat the leaves off this plant, for example. Also, for those who are allergic to pollen, they should be careful not to inhale foxglove pollen.

I put together some intro and outro music. I really liked what I came up with, which inspired me to make this instrumental. The feel of the music, to me, reflects the way this wild flower is. It is exotic, beautiful--the sweeping/sliding pad and the piano and beginning synths. The gritty synth and other synth with the dubstep bass is supposed to represent the foxglove being dangerous to those who aren't careful around it.

After messing around a bit and practicing on key changing on the Music Jam Maker, and clicking that FX button just right to fit with the rhythm, I'm quite happy with how this turned out.

This little project here took a few hours, 3 or 4 hours at least. Most tracks take me about a month to do. I'm surprised and happy with this. I hope all of those who follow me enjoy this too.

I was pleasantly surprised by this arrangement! Most of the dubstep I have heard is rather harsh and action packed (which is what I normally look for). However, after reading your story about the Foxglove flower, I decided to give this song a chance.

I am so happy that I did. It is smooth (surprisingly smooth), just like VideoGameManiac said, and yet it has that 'oomph' that normally accompanies a dubstep title. such a strange yet happy mixture for such a mellow song.

My only complaint is that the song doesn't loop.

Thank you!

Aww thanks! Your comment makes my morning. Glad you enjoyed. Yeah, to make a good dubstep track, I found out that you don't necessarily have to make the bass drop and go crazy.

Wow I really like this. Great combinations of sounds! The snare might be a bit too loud but maybe its just me. :)

SilverFoxJams responds:

Everyone has different ears. :) I'm glad you enjoyed.
