Electronic - Ambient

Author Comments

Short, gentle ambient piece, reminds me of an enchanted forest (cheesy, but it does).

Yes! This is the kind of music I always listen to when I enchant forests!

Hell yeah, neatness, sometimes it feels a little crude on the 'entrance' of a synth, as if it starts off loud but immediately decreases its volume by half. Don't know if that was intentional, but I... noticed :)

Neat composition and luckily, not nearly as productively crammed as that Enya-crap!

Grumbleduke responds:

The synths that I used did decay a little too quickly I suppose, but any lower and they wouldn't have the "filling" I desired, as the longer notes would have decayed to nothing before the next one comes in. This is my first ambient piece, so I can only learn from the comments and wisdom of the genre-enlightened :).

Shame you couldn't elaborate, but I more than appreciate the enthusiasm :).

Let's see, then.

The flanger(?) sounds reminds me of the music of the Myst serie. So, i don't exactly see an enchanted forest, but rather some strange place with strange devices or so. Musically, i have nothing to say, the sounds blend together, the EQ is without flaw and the SQ is great!

Well, i think i said it all. I have no advice to give, really. It even deserves this:Thanks for your vote, Deflektor76! You voted 5 for Elysium Mists, raising its score from 0.00 to 5.00.

PS: while i have you here, would you mind giving your opinion on one of my two latest pieces. As i have new samples, i would like to know how good (or bad) it is. Thanks in advance!

Grumbleduke responds:

Yes, I did use a flanger for the main chords :). Having not heard/played/seen Myst I don't have anything to go on, sorry. I see enchanted (if not slightly creepy) forests, because of the odd little effects in the background; one sounds a bit like a croaking frog.

Oh, alright, Deflektor, you attention whore, I'll check your samples out ;).
