HG:MSOTTA - Enfant Terrible

Rated 5 / 5 stars

Classic horror ambience that tickles my fear erection. I hear a battle of analog inspiration fighting its inevitable digitization throughout the piece, which could have gone in a bad direction but becomes a beast in its own.

Congratulations, you've created another monster.

TheHeartgrinder responds:

More monsters are to be brought forth from the grinder of hearts.

Boogy, boogy.

You have put a lot of time into this... I can feel the raw energy. It's fantastic.

TheHeartgrinder responds:

Always nice when someone notices. ;)

(oops. thought i'd left my 2 cents here already) I'm all about depth and texture, but you know me - I have to incorporate it into a percussive something. I did, however, really enjoy 2:55 onwards. Particularly 3:13 to 3:35. The final swell with the ebb and flow, and the static, was a nice flourish.

TheHeartgrinder responds:

I thank you. This is something I felt would suffer by complicating it with multiple elements. It needed to be lonely, painfully slow and mostly subtle.

TheHeartgrinder responds:

I thank you.

A lot goes into what I do. There are times when I feel its underappreciated, but a few of you keep me going with these reviews. Means the world to me.

Until next time...
