Hear it here!

EDIT 5: The rather boring sounding buildup to the second drop now has a bouncy beat to it that I felt was missing from the previous version. I hope you all like it! :D Oh, and MUFUGGIN' ROCK GUITAR! \m/

EDIT 4: The vocal track is an acapella of the original Keep me Hangin' On by the Supremes that I've effected heavily using various effects from Fruity Loops' effect selection! If anyone wants the acapella, PM me and I'll upload it somewhere for you to get it easily. ^^

EDIT 3: People were voting earlier versions of this track down before even hearing it. :( Please listen to the whole thing before voting. I truly have no problem with people voting it down if they don't like it, but please, at least listen to it before you do. If you like it, please, feel free to vote by clicking a number indicating what score you'd give it out of five at the top left there. Thanks guys. ^^

EDIT: BASSLINE MISSING FROM CHORUS. Oh lawd. Rendering version with bassline now. xD I'm such a tit.

A remix of Keep Me Hangin' on (Supremes version) inspired by Constromlie's 16-bit remix, which you can check out by clicking this link..

After being massively inspired by Constromlie's remix, I set to work on my own remix, which I tried to direct towards a "Dancehall" style. I have decided to go down a very non-retro path for this one, as I believe that Constromlie's 16-bit version is all we need if you want your retro fix of Keep me Hangin' On. xD

Please keep in mind that I've had absolutely NO training with any music production software, have learned all I know through trial and error using mainly Fruity Loops. I am in every sense an amateur, and I think that this track reflects that in its current form. I will be actively working on this track over the next few days, and will post my progress as I finish working on it each session. I hope you enjoy it! ^_^

PS. PLEASE, please, feel free to post a review! I love reading your comments, and will reply to as many as I can. I'm usually able to reply to all of them! Also, if you wish to use this track in a video, game or anything like that, PM me and let me know what it is you're doing, and, chances are, I'll be 100% ok with it! Cheers! ^^

I like what you've done but the acapella doesn't really need an echo sounding to It every time It's being used, It gets irritating after a few times.

JBeat2k9 responds:

Do you mean the trancegating? Or do you actually mean the reverb on it? I don't have any sort of echo or delay on it, so I'm a lil' confused. xD Should I tone down the trancey effect so that the lyrics are clearer?#

Also, thanks for the critique! :D The more advice I get from all of you, the better I can make this thing!

Keep in mind it's nowhere near finished, so as a kind of mass collaboration, I think we could make this quite good!

The trancegate effect does calm down a bit after the main drop, now, but I agree that if you mean that the trancegate on the vox are a bit too heavy, I can make it so that when the buildup starts, the effect goes away, or something. I'll get on that and post a new version soon!
