"Neat"

date: September 22, 2006

The song flows well, it has a very good deal of ambiance, but I feel there were some parts and things that could have been done differently.

For example, I realize that the horns give a good ambiant feel, I also feel that you have them playing too randomly sometimes. Blasts here and there, that didn't really seem to give too much of an effect. This song reminds me of the kind of music they used in Blade Runner. Good sci fi movie, you should go see it.

Regardless, lets talk abit about the strings. The strings were well done, they flowed well and supplied a good foundation to the rest of the song, and those synthy pads complimented them well. I really think this song should be more under ambiance then classical ;). Oh well.

Have you ever considered a choir? A nice, laid back choir to fully show the pains of war? I really think it would be a neat idea, and would add more "aftermath" feel to the piece.

There was a breakdown somewhere near the end, where you had a piano come in, and then it looped back to the ambiance (it loops damn well btw). I felt this piano part was completely unnecessary. It kind of ruined the flow of the song, and left a sour feel.

These are my honest thoughts, I hear great skill in you, keep them coming, and check out some of my works sometime ;).

Take care dj-s-h

Sounded like a song in a movie that would be played after a battle scene. Hmm I really like the horn sounds :D and the backround sound makes it soo awesome XXD Good work with this song

"Amen"

I have no time at the moment to be constructively critical.

I will simply say that this is a well done orchestral ambience and I quite enjoyed it.

You will do great things.

Sincerely,
MMD
