Hey there guys,

Here is one of the ingame level tracks of the Elder Scrolls - Oblivion mod "RATHUNAS" i am working on right now. The mod has gone beta a few days ago and offers a large (5-10 hours of gameplay) and elaborate quest with riddles and lots of wonderful details. 35 voiceactors were recorded. The mod is developed by Scott and Katherine Courtney who did an excellent job creating this great project.

The creator of Rathunas, Scott, about the meaning of this Tenebrae Track in the games context:

"The music evokes a disquieting feeling of something faintly perceptible to the player, but not identifiable, like a movement glimpsed in the periphery of vision, or a voice heard but not understood. Something terrible happened here thousands of years ago, and in these dark tunnels the memory of awful events still lingers."

I hope you will enjoy the track! Honest votes and reviews are always highly appreciated!

MAN I feel like cursing it's so good! Subtle subtle subtle
You seem to be able to now know exactly when and how much to use CAGE. I can't help but want to do a full blown atonal work when I start looking into it, but you use it quite tastefully. Something I'm going to have to think about. This piece is so inviting and captivating in a very unique way because it isn't in your face.
Upon my third listen now, I'm hearing Alien! I love this atmosphere. Because this piece isn't in your face, people might not make much of it at first, but it takes a special breed to write an ambient piece in manner such as this and fully create the perfect mood of wonder and foreboding.

This is something very unique and scary good.

The ambiance and SFX background unison isn't creepy (that's the great part) but solid while being gentle. Despise all the things going on it was clear as crystal and sound super vast. And dude, awesome use for the tutti and choir clusters (was it Requiem Pro?). This is so dark and I feel like I was in a cavern of somekind.

5/5 Mixing and mastering is superb.

Hey there dem0lecule,

thanks a lot for your nice review, good sir! The track is underscoring a cave level. The glory of this place has gone thousands of years ago ... something horrible had happened here. But somehow you stil can feel the reminiscence of a long forgotten dignity and greatness of this place...

For the instruments i have used here: 8Dio CAGE, Requiem Pro, Liberis and the Bowed Grandpiano, Eduardo Tarilonte Cantus, Mystica, Era Medieval Legends and several soundeffects (creatures, drones etc).

Thanks a lot for your kindness and for leaving your thoughts here!

All the best,
