After 36+ hours, i finally finished this mashup. I had the idea randomly while creating a 1:1 cover of Forest Interlude, i noticed that Mining Melancholy went perfectly with it, so i decided to turn the cover in a full fledged mashup ^^ I hope you enjoy it ^^

It's great enough to hear DKC covers by themselves but this is genius and keeps 20 year old favorites fresh.

The best one I've heard out of all your songs so far. The perc sounds for the transitions were a tad too loud. Other than that this is amazing. Guys? I think we've just found sockpuppetremix 2.0. :D

This song already has 4 reviews that already says what I wanted to say so this will be a short review.
This track really is a piece of art Just a terrific remix of a already terrific song. Really loved what you did with the different synths. They all add very well to the overall atmosphere.
The arrangement is just in a league of it's own. I just loved it when the keyboard came in :).
What you did with the bird chip beat was just amazing and really creative.

I really don't have anything negative to say about this track. I actually think the ending was good. It would be cool as a loop ofc, but it was far from necessary, and I loved how it all just peacefully ebbed out.

Easy 5 stars from me. Keep up the good work :).

This is an excellent mashup. Forest Interlude and Mining Melancholy really do go well together. I love that you thought of this, because even though neither song is your own composition, it sounds like your own, because it is both put together. Amazing idea! :)

On to the suggestions. I think you should have either made it a loop or composed your own ending, because songs that just go quiet bother me just a little bit. An idea for the title as well, I think that the title, "Melancholy Forest" would have sounded better.

I hope my review served as helpful!

Hahaha thanks ^^ I should edit the mp3, i do have a version that loops perfectly, it just i thought that a fade out would make it sound better, thanks for the review ^^

Whenever I hear that song, no matter what remix, my heart always feels moved. So excellent choice!

Oh did you get the sound samples from the game? There's this one guy who collected the sound samples from a lot of SNES games and dkc2 was one of them. That way you can use them as instruments! So is that what you did? If not I can send you the link.:

Honestly I don't know how you remixers keep coming up with new ideas all the time.

Oh its a lot different from the original. Although all the main stuff is still there like that backup and chorus.
I could watch or listen to this again if my short attention span would remember everything.

Hahaha yeah, i took the SCP files of FI and MM, isolated the percussion elated channels, exported them to .wav, and then edited them into my mix. I am happy that you liked it ^^
