This sounds like an "overworld" or "sailing" theme for an RPG. It reminds me of the old NES game Dragon Quest II (Dragon Warrior II in North America).
This is a short loop in a pseudo-chiptune style.
It was made in Cubase Essential 5 using the Peach VST.

sounds like something that would play in a pokemon game lol. and instead of using peach for your chiptune sound, or cubase, you should use Milky Tracker, or any tracker you desire. as it will give you a true chiptune sound. Peach only mimics the NES's psg, or atleast trys to.
i thought this was nice though, but it threw me off with "chiptune" as i thought it was just going to be a chiptune without any EQ's or reverb.
