This piece is called "The City's Ghosts" and is a collab with peachymaiden! and also the first composition we make together :D

The voice, lyrics, and cello, are all made by peachy, and the piano and bells from me.

Hope you all like it, see you!

== This is an NGAUC Audition Round Review. ==

WOW. Let me say that again: WOW. Let's get this out of the way quickly - the mixing here is terrible - it's often muddled in climaxes, and it's even clipping at points. But omg - the vocals are out of this world, the composition is amazing, the arrangement is perfect. The rapidfire delivery of vocals at points is just perfect (I strongly disagree with the previous reviewers here), and I love how the piano and strings back it up. The composition and arrangement are so good, in fact, that I *still* gave this a ridiculously high score, even though the mixing is so obviously flawed. I won't be so kind in future rounds - so be sure to clean up your mix. (Hint: Less elements are easier to mix. Also, make those vocals louder in genera, but make sure they never clip! I have 2 guides to mixing in my link below, and I'd highly recommend you to check them out :-)) One of my favorite audition pieces. Score: 9.5

Mini-scores (Note: See http://johnfn.newgrounds.com/news/post/936953 for what this means and how to improve)

* Mixing: 1/4
* Composition: 4+/4
* Arrangement: 4/4

Wow, loving your style.

The mic picks up your voice well, but as said before, it sounds like you were short on breath towards the end.

The piano buildup was incredible, very atmospheric, i especially liked the brushes of those background twinkles.

Going against the review beneath me, I thought your layered vocals sounded pleasnent though in some areas the voices are out of sync. Not as in tone but speed/measurements.

Great work, im sure you can turn this 4 star into a 5.

Very soothing and its racking up to this climax I like!

The vocalist has an amazing voice, but it felt a little odd to hear 2 vocals at the same that didn't blend well together in a way that it wasn't in sync with the other or this one false note I was hearing. It's not a completely false note, but let's say that in western music you have what you call whole notes and half notes and she's singing the fourth of a whole note...

Anyways, point is, I would've loved it more if the vocals were a bit tweaked here and there.

I like the voice .

It seems like peachy is running out of breath though .

Maybe slow down the melody or design the lyrics around the parts where she have to talk fast .
