Waw, this is amazing for a original composition! It's hard to pinpoint an appropriate moment to put this into, but hey! Nice one bro! keep up the good job!

A while back, I was challenged to make an original composition in the style of any kind of theme from the Pokémon games, whether it be a city, a route, or battle theme. I chose a battle theme, and as I was trying to figure out a way to recreate the Gym Leader theme for Red, Blue, and Yellow, I came up with this on the spot, so I went with it. As a result, I came up with a battle theme that resembled a Pokémon battle theme! However, this one turned out differently than I expected. If you hear influences of Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, or even Atlantica Online, I do not blame you, but those are all great games, as is Pokémon. Give this a listen! I hope you like it! If anyone has a better name for this, please let me know!

Great song! I want to make a Pokémon fangame and this track would be perfect. Could I use this? If not that's completely fine.
If you so wish, go ahead. I completely forgot that this existed, honestly! Sure! Just be sure to give the proper credits n' such.

And so the samurai trainer enters! I have no real idea if that were what you had in mind, but there is a certain Japanesqueness here which suggests it to me. The overall impression I get begins with Pokémon, adds Star Ocean, and then ventures into the territory of some kind of fighting game, with maybe a hint of Tales of Graces. I do like the effect overall, but the opening, which is presumably taken from your rendition of the Generation II Team Rocket battle theme, is a little distracting, since it leads me to expect one thing, but what follows is entirely different. I do like what I get, but I think that an original opening would have been better.
The melody flows very nicely, though I cannot help but feel that it might have been elaborated on more somehow (though how, exactly, I cannot quite say); but it is, nevertheless, enjoyable to listen to it. The instrumentation works especially well, and makes me think, as I have already said, of both Star Ocean and some kind of fighting game (I do not play many of those, so I cannot really give any specifics as to which it reminds me of musically, though images of Ryu and Ken fighting do come to mind). I especially liked the use of the bell: it stands out very nicely (and is also one of my favourite instruments), and the piano and guitar (I think I hear both, anyway) mix together well. I am not sure what else you have used, other than some kind of drums, and maybe a harp in places. You show a good ear for what goes well together here, and the effect is, again, quite good.
Overall, this is not very Pokémon-like, but when inspiration comes, you do not always get to choose for what it is. A better title might have been 'Battle: Mystery Fighter' or 'Battle: Mystery Swordsman'. It gives me an image of fighting some kind of rival-type boss in an RPG or, again, some kind of fighting game, which is not good at all. A proper ending (or a looped version) might also have been nice.
I think you have done very well with this one. I think you could still improve this, so you get a 4.5, bu, from me, that is very good.

Darn. I was hoping it would be more Pokémon-like. A few have told me that it would fit under certain circumstances, but I guess everyone has a different ear, so different results should be expected, right? Yeah, I honestly don't know where I went with this one, but I was hoping to at least keep a vibe of Pokémon in there. Also, the reason there wasn't a proper ending is because it's intended to follow the same sort of schematics that my mixes preceding this original have followed. Either way, thank you for your review.
